2. Run apps side-by-side
It’s a feature that has been available since Android 7.0 Nougat but is often forgotten by users. This top-and bottom or side-by-side app view is useful when you want to optimize social networking or multitask.
Make sure that both of the apps you wish to display are open. Open the app carousel with a quick swipe up from the bottom. Press the circular icon on top of the preview to select the app. You should see Splittop in the menu that appears. Remember that not all applications support this feature. For example, Instagram does not. If you do see the option, you cannot use it in this way. Tap Splittop if you see this option. The app will then automatically move to the left or top of your screen. You’ll find the app carousel on the opposite side. From there, you can launch a second application. You can now open the app by swiping your way there and tapping on its preview.
Drag the thick black line from the middle up or down to adjust your screen. Drag the black line up or down to exit Split Screen mode.
3. Text and images made more visible
You can zoom in and out on objects and text if you are having trouble seeing what is on your screen. Or, you can do this if you just want to get as much information as possible on the display, and you don’t mind squinting. Some apps may not respond to the adjustments. However, most will.
Open Settings, then go to Display. Tap the Text and display size, then drag the slider to the Font Size. This will allow you to make the text bigger or smaller. Android 13 added a new slider to this menu — Display Size. Play around with the slider to make Google search and icons bigger.
