7. Focus on a single goal
Recently, my wife and I watched the documentary What the Health. The simple conclusion of the film is that most diseases are caused by contaminated or manipulated foods.
Before watching the movie, my wife, and I, focused on eating delicious food. This included organic meat, eggs, and dairy of high quality. After watching the film, my wife and I focused our eating habits on delicious food including high-quality organic meat, eggs and dairy.
Focusing on one thing is powerful. This allows us to focus on one aspect of our lives, and make a major shift much more effectively than just relying upon motivation.

8. Maniacal Tracking
Single-minded focus and maniacal tracking go hand in hand.
My wife is a doctor. We have been tracking our workouts since we switched to a vegan-friendly diet. Our strength and endurance numbers increased dramatically in the first two weeks, contrary to what we had previously believed.
We can stay on track by tracking our results, noting improvements and ensuring that we’re moving in the correct direction. Motivation alone is unlikely to sustain such a huge shift. But maniacal tracking can.
