What to avoid when stressed?

Processed Meat

Processing is the process of grinding up something and adding other ingredients to it. It is also possible to fill the product with preservatives and chemicals. The processed meat tends to be high in sodium and monosodium glutamate. Hot dogs, sausages, ground meat, deli meat and jerky are all examples of processed meats. The meat that is immediately packaged and cut does not undergo the same processing. Additives can lead to a decrease in energy and stress.

Research has also found that consuming processed meat regularly can lead to chronic illness. These illnesses include stomach and bowel cancers, chronicobstructive lung disease hypertension and heart disease. The presence of sodium Nitrite in meat also puts individuals at a higher risk for other cancers. The sodium nitrite in meat is used as a preservative, to maintain the color of the meat and enhance its flavor. It is also carcinogenic.
