Maria cleared her throat
Maria was uncomfortable with the idea of having to do this all by herself. She cleared her throat to suggest that something was bothering Maria, hoping that the girl would catch on and move their hair without Maria needing to confront them any further.
She did nothing, much to her disappointment.
