13. Freezing Mince

When freezing minced beef. Place the mince in a ziplock bag or freezer bag after removing it from the bulky plastic container. It should be flattened as much as you can. This will help your mince to thaw much quicker than if you left it frozen in one large clump. Second, you’ll have more room in your freezer to store other things.

14. Stop a Pot from Boiling Over

This simple hack was taught to me by my mum many years ago. When cooking starchy food. Placing a wooden spoon on top of the pot will prevent the liquid from overflowing. This trick works as the bubbles will burst when they hit the wooden spoon.

15. Keep Your Indoor Plants Healthy

I love having greenery in my home, but it can be difficult to remember to water the indoor plants. A simple hack I’ve found to be extremely useful. Keep indoor plants that need only to be watered one time a week. Now that I’ve made Fridays the designated day for watering my indoor plants, they are thriving and healthy.
