The ship was empty.
The Patriotwas an enormous submarine and Kelsey’s crewmates were expecting to find men all over. It was expected that crewmen would be found dead in the kitchen, the weight room, the command center, and the bedrooms.
The team realized there was nobody in The Patriot’s rooms as they walked through. The sub appeared to be in perfect condition. Pristine, even.
