Warm Compresses
There are several ways to maintain healthy eyes and comfort at home. Cleaning the eyes daily with warm compresses is one of the most effective self-care measures. If blepharitis flares up, repeat the cleaning between two and four time a day. Patients can clean their eyes once or twice daily if the condition does not bother them. If it is part of the morning and evening routine, along with washing your face and brushing your teeth, this may be helpful. First, apply a warm compress to the eyes for several minutes. This will loosen any crusty deposits. Then, the patient can wash their eyelids with a warm washcloth diluted with baby shampoo. Then, they should rinse with warm water again and dry their eyes using a clean towel.
