Many different foods and plant species contain branched-chain amino acid. BCAAs can be obtained through food, regardless of whether a person prefers a Ketogenic Diet or a plant-based diet. Meat, poultry, and fish contain 84 grams of branched chain amino acids per 3-ounce serving. Beans and lentils contain 2.4-3 grams per cup. Milk provides two grams of BCAAs per cup. Tofu, tempeh and other legumes contain 84 grams of BCAAs in a three-ounce serving. For every ounce of cheese, there are 28 grams of branched chain amino acids. The other foods that are high in BCCAs include pumpkin seed, with twenty-eight gram per one ounce serving. Nuts also contain twenty-eight g per one ounce serving.
