Guide to the Healthy Uses of Hydrogen Peroxide

Treat Canker Sores

Canker Sores can be painful lesions found inside the mouth. These lesions can occur at the base or soft tissues of the mouth. Canker sores make eating difficult in both cases. Canker sores can make it difficult to speak for some people.

They are treatable. You can either use commercial mouthwashes containing hydrogen peroxide, or you can make your own solution. They can make their own solution at home using the same recipe they use for swollen gingiva. Remember to mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts of water. You will want them to swish the mouthwash around for 30 seconds, twice daily before spitting out. Hydrogen peroxide will reduce the pain of canker sores, and speed up their healing.
