Guide to the Healthy Uses of Hydrogen Peroxide

Keep Food Fresh

Hydrogen peroxide is a great way to preserve food. In fact, hydrogen peroxide should not be consumed in large amounts. There are also food-grade solutions for food preparation. When you spray a little hydrogen peroxide on vegetables and greens, the material will remain fresher for longer. The greens will take several days to start becoming soggy or wilted. This is an excellent solution for those who want to save them later for a delicious salad.

Fruits can also be kept fresher longer by spraying them with a hydrogen peroxide food grade solution. Individuals must thoroughly rinse any food that has been treated with hydrogen peroxide. In small quantities, hydrogen peroxide solution containing three to five percent can be consumed. Larger concentrations of hydrogen peroxide can be toxic.
