Exercise intolerance
Exercise intolerance can be caused by Fibromyalgia in patients. In people with this condition, the blood flow to muscles is less than normal during exercise. This leads to an excessive accumulation of lactic acids in muscles. These patients experience muscle pain due to excessive accumulation.
Patients with fibromyalgia have pain-blocking pathways that are less active, less responsive and can limit the release of endorphins. Hormonal factors can also contribute to intense pain and fatigue following exercise. Growth hormone, for example, can repair muscle tears after exercise. Studies have shown that these patients are deficient in growth hormone, which can lead to a defect in the repair of muscle tears. It can also lead to intense pain and fatigue in the muscles.
