What’s happening?
They heard a loud popping sound. They jumped in alarm thinking that they had crushed an egg, but it wasn’t. The girls had been so careful with the eggs, they thought that something was hatching from the egg.
Look at Maria
Giselle carefully examined one of the egg shells and found a large crack. She shouted in joy and held the egg up to Mary’s nose.
Maria’s reaction was different, and nobody could understand it.
