Build Nests
Bonny’s anger was replaced by awe as soon as she saw what her daughters had done. Giselle, Mary and the hay and straw from the barn were brought to the eggs. They then built nests around them.
Bonny didn’t expect such nurturing behavior from the girls.
Proud Hans
Bonny, instead of scolding her daughters, melted down and thanked them for caring so well for the eggs. Hans winked and said, “One day you’ll make excellent farmers.”
Hans was ecstatic about his daughters, but the moment quickly changed when he heard an ear-splitting crackling sound.
