Secure the Tarp
Their daughters returned shortly after with a large, black tarp. Together they stretched the tarp on top of the eggs, and then secured it at both ends with stones.
Hans replied, “Alright.” Hans told his girls, “Back to the work.” He warned them to be careful not to break any eggs.
Inseparable daughters
The eggs and his daughters were inseparably linked. Hans completed his rounds while they stayed with the eggs. Hans finally gave in to the request for dessert at the end of the workday, despite initially being reluctant.
