Ayers Rock in Australia

Ayers Rock is also known as Uluru and is a sandstone monolith in Australia’s Northern Territory. It is considered a sacred place for Aboriginals and has great cultural significance. The impressive height is 348 meters and the circumference is 9.4 kilometers.

The red color of this formation changes with the changing light. It is not open to the general public because of its spiritual and cultural importance to Aboriginal people. The area is now protected, and visitors must respect the traditional landowners.
