Maya Bay, Thailand
Maya Bay is located on Koh Phi Phi Leh, a beautiful island in Thailand. Leonardo DiCaprio starred in the 2000 film The Beach. It is surrounded with towering limestone cliffs, and the crystal clear water makes it a popular tourist destination.
Due to the damage that the flood of tourists has caused to the environment, the Thai Government has decided to permanently close the bay. Maya Bay is still a popular destination that reminds us of the importance of protecting our environment.
