Improves Cholesterol
Chlorella has a special ability to lower triglycerides, and total cholesterol. Chlorella, as stated above, is a particularly rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Fatty acids make up the majority of cell membranes, hormones, and other biological substances. Omega-3 fatty acid sources are divided into two categories: animal sources (fish), such as docosahexaenoic or eicosapentaenoic; and plant sources such as alpha linoleic. Chlorella has a unique omega-3 profile because it includes both animal and plant versions. It is not clear how the interaction between omega-3s and biological agonists results in improved cholesterol and triglycerides. It is possible that all the nutrients in chlorella, including carotenoids and B vitamins, work together. The body converts carotenoids into vitamin. Vitamin A, a fat-soluble nutrient, is essential for the optimal functioning of the liver. The liver is the organ responsible for metabolizing fats and producing cholesterol. vitamins, especially B5, can also lower total cholesterol and low-density cholesterol (the ‘bad’ cholesterol) that clogs up arteries.
