Compassion and love
Rosalynd, like Jason, sees their exchange as an example of unconditional love, no matter who they are or what they look. Jason stated, “We must think about how to be better Americans. We have to examine ourselves and the way we treat each other.” Jason said, “We have to think about being better Americans, we have to look into ourselves and how we treat one another,” he said.
Reconnecting
Rosalynd contacted Jason after seeing his face on the news. They reconnected. They discussed their differences in politics and how they still had a good friendship despite them.
