A Misunderstanding
After all they had gone through, the two finally caught up. The two laughed and exchanged niceties, but a more serious issue would soon come up in their conversation. Some of their followers seemed to have missed the point. They both agreed during their conversation that the story was misunderstood by many. How would they clarify the confusion?
It’s Not About Race
Rosalynd and Jason were not happy with the way many people interpreted their story. Rosalynd expressed her hope that the story would not be interpreted as a white man helping a black girl, and that it was a gracious gesture that came from a heart of love and compassion. Jason also agreed that it wasn’t really about him, or Rosalynd, but he wanted to show that kindness can come from anywhere.
