Method 1
1.Hacks for cooking and food preparation
1.A wooden spoon can be placed on top of the pot to prevent it from boiling over. Steam is inside the foaming bubbles that are created when water boils. Steam will condense if it touches something below 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) and the surface tension in the bubbles will be broken.
- The best option is a wooden spoon, as a plastic one might melt while a metal one will be very hot.
2.Ramen noodles can be made in a coffeemaker for a quick and easy meal. Add the water in the reservoir to the amount recommended. Start the brewing cycle, and let the noodles soak in the hot water for as long as you like. Add the seasonings and transfer them to a large bowl.
- The seasonings can also be added to the coffee pot, but it is difficult to remove the flavor of Ramen Noodle Seasoning from your coffee pot.
- Before proceeding, make sure that there is no used filter in the machine. It is not necessary to add a new filter.
3.Reheat pizza leftovers in a skillet for a crispy crust. Add a few drops or sprays of cooking oil to the pan and place it on medium heat. Place a pizza slice in the pan and heat it for two minutes. Then, cover the pan with a lid and reduce the heat for another 2 minutes until the cheese has melted.
- To cook the pizza top faster, add a few drops to the pan. You should be careful as the oil may splash.
4.You can use a skirt hanger that has clips to save space by using it as a cookbook holder. The two clips on the hanger can be used to hold the book open. Use the hook of the hanger to attach it to a nearby cabinet handle and you’ll have a very handy cookbook holder.
- It will not take up any valuable counter space, as it will be placed at the perfect height for easy reading.
5.To remove the stems quickly and easily, use a thicker straw. The strawberry stem will pop out when you insert the straw in the opposite side. The stem will come out when you reach the top.
- It is best to use a metal straw that can be reused. If you have a wide straw, it’s best to use that.
6.Tongs make it easier to squeeze the lemon juice. Slice a lemon into two halves, and then place one of the halves between tongs with the cut side facing you. Use the tongs you use to pick up items to squeeze out as much juice as possible. Repeat the process with the second half.
- To catch seeds, place a fine-mesh strainer on top of the bowl or pitcher that you are using to squeeze the juice.
7.Pour milk into your cereal spoon instead of a cup to prevent it from splashing. Pour the milk slowly onto the underside of your spoon’s head. Pour the milk slowly on the underside the head of the spoon. There will be far less splashing when you pour milk onto cereal.
- Add the cereal first and then add the milk!
8.Use a plastic water bottle to remove the yolk of a cracked egg. Crack an egg in a dish or bowl, and then grab an empty, clean water bottle. Place the water bottle on top of your yolk and squeeze the bottle halfway. The yolk will be drawn up into the bottle.
9.Pit cherry quickly using a bottle and a straw. Use an empty plastic or glass bottle that has a smaller mouth than the cherries so you can put a cherry on top of the opening. A sturdy metal straw, a skewer or a wooden chopstick can be used to press straight through the stem. The pit will fall into the bottle
10.To remove the eggshell from a cracked yolk, dip your finger into water. After washing your hands, dry them with a towel and dipping one finger in warm water. You can use your wet finger and press each piece of eggshell to remove them from your cracked egg. The water will cause the eggshells to gravitate towards your finger. This makes it easy to remove all of the shells.
- Do not forget to wash your hand after you are done!
